The Road to Jesus

We all pretty much know the story of Saul and how, after his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, he was led to become an apostle for Jesus Christ. Saul was persecuting the Jews, and out of this tragedy God took what was evil and made it good.

This story is found in the book of Acts chapter 9. Today it would be wonderful if this could happen to all of us, we would know instantly and see instantly our path to the Lord. We should come to understand though that this happening was to play a part in the prophecy of God’s Word. It was written to encourage us in our walk to Jesus Christ, with Jesus Christ, and in Jesus Christ.

Everything written in God’s Word is to be fulfilled. It speaks of the past, present and future. All has already been done. I am writing this believing that I am being led by the Holy Spirit to gain an understanding of where I am in my life, because every time I think I have an understanding I recoil. I begin to doubt thinking that I just haven’t seen it the way I thought. I have seen it as I thought, I have just doubted myself. I may have approached it wrong, but I understand.

When we begin to doubt, we come to unbelief. Unbelief becomes the sin, thus once more around the mountain. I have prayed to the Lord why, and in response I get why not? I know then I must respond with the written Word. I then begin to dig deeper into His Word and then, “until you can stand your ground, In Me, then we must begin again”. I have been knocked down, blinded, and spending time in my blindness to come back to the light and with the help of other believers, seeing once more.
